Description Organic Tomato Puree
The Organic Tomato Puree is made from elongated tomatoes, including Coimbra, Ercole and other varieties, which are grown on approximately 30 farms in the Po Delta in the provinces of Ferrara and Ravenna. The tomato varieties selected for the ready-to-eat mash and sauces have firm, well-structured meat and a sweet and delicate flavor.
The tomatoes, which are ripened at the right level in July, August and September harvested, are processed on average within eight hours to preserve all flavor, aroma and nutrients. After they are washed and selected, steam is used to remove the skin from the tomatoes and only after that the tomatoes are crushed, sieved and concentrated.
The product is then brought to a high temperature, bottled and then pasteurized to ensure that it is not lost. The organoleptic properties of the tomatoes are constantly monitored to ensure the best possible taste - from field to processing.
