Couch grass is a very common plant that grows over wastelands and glades. Its rhizomes contain starch and are very nutritious. Only light, thick and fleshy rhizomes are selected for flour, thoroughly cleaned and dried. Couch grass flour is characterized by a slightly sweet, nutty flavor. It is also characterized by a high content of dietary fiber, which regulates the digestive system, cleans the body of toxins, bile acids and heavy metals.
How to use biological couch grass flour:
The couch grass flour can be used as an enriching addition to wheat flour (in the proportion of 2/3 wheat flour and 1/3 couch grass flour) and bake bread, rolls, cookies and other products.
It can also be used for all dishes where wheat flour is normally added, e.g. as an addition to pasta, egg omelets, potato pancakes (adding 1/3 couch grass flour to 2/3 grated potatoes).
