Applying carrot oil to the skin
Carrot oil has a distinct scent. Beta-carotene is an ingredient that contributes to normal skin pigmentation. It naturally stimulates the secretion of pigment. Carotenes in carrot oil speed up the tanning process. That is why the oil is frequently added to bronzing cosmetics and after-sun oils.
Carrot oil also contains vitamins E and A.
