Milk thistle is an annual plant, known in the Netherlands by other common names: Milk Thistle or Our Lady's Thistle. Milk thistle is common in North America and can grow up to 1.5 to 3 meters tall, with large spiky leaves that secrete a milky sap when broken. Milk thistle has a high content of fibers and proteins.
Milk thistle is usually sold ground, but milk thistle seeds are also available.
Application
The daily portion of milk thistle seeds should not exceed 2-3 teaspoons. You can also grind the seeds and sprinkle them freely on dishes, such as salads, sandwiches, soups, vegetables, muesli, as they do not have a distinctive taste.
