Description
Milk Thistle is an annual plant, known in the Netherlands by other folk names: Milk Thistle or Our Lady's Thistle. Milk Thistle is common in North America and can grow up to 1.5 to 3 meters high, with large spiky leaves that secrete a milky sap when broken. It has a high content of fiber and protein.
Milk Thistle is usually sold ground, but Milk Thistle seeds are also available.
Application
The daily portion of milk thistle seed should not contain more than 2-3 teaspoons. You can also grind seeds and freely sprinkle them on dishes, such as salads, sandwiches, soups, vegetables, muesli because they themselves have no defining taste.
