How to sow Scarlet rosemallow: simple and fun

Follow the steps, keep the substrate lightly moist, and after a while you’ll see the first growth appear.

• Step 1: soak the seeds in warm water
• Step 2: press the seeds about 1.5 cm deep into the moist substrate
• Step 3: place the pot in a sunny, warm spot – this hibiscus loves light
• Step 4: water regularly and repot once the first shoots appear

Repotting & placement: practical tips

When the seedling has developed further, move it to a larger pot or to a sheltered spot outside (if the weather allows). When repotting, choose a fertile, airy, well-draining potting soil. A mix with some perlite or sand is helpful. Guideline for acidity: pH 5.5–6.5. Plenty of sun and warmth support growth and flowering.
