Stevia is an annual plant with exceptionally sweet leaves, up to about 20 times sweeter than sugar. It is used as a natural sweetener in drinks and foods. Stevia can be used in the kitchen, for example when baking cakes. The plant grows well in full sun and in well-drained soil. Sow in pots on the windowsill during March–May. Do not cover the seed, so that enough light can reach it.
