Description Roasted Buckwheat:
Roasted buckwheat groats (kasha) are oil-free roasted buckwheat. It differs from regular non-roasted buckwheat by the brown color and nutty flavor. It is a great rice substitute in lunch and dinner dishes. It contains natural fibers, proteins, potassium, and B vitamins.
Application
With buckwheat flakes, buckwheat groats, and buckwheat flour, many delicious dishes can be made. With the flour, you can make delicious pancakes, the flakes work perfectly as a binding agent, or try making a tasty breakfast with the buckwheat groats.
Preparation: Put the groats in a bowl and rinse with cold water until the water remains clear. Add 2 teaspoons of oil and pour the rinsed buckwheat into the pan; let it sit over medium heat until the water boils, then lower the heat and cover the pan with a lid. Cook the groats for about 15 minutes. After cooking, turn off the heat and let the buckwheat groats soak on a warm spot covered with a lid for about 10 minutes. Finally, add a little salt.
