OstroVit Chromium 200 μg - a source of a valuable trace element
Chromium, a micronutrient with the symbol Cr, is a mineral component found in small amounts in the human body. Chromium is naturally present in foods such as whole grains, yeast, eggs, and vegetables like broccoli, peas, and tomatoes. The element is mainly stored in the kidneys, spleen, and testes, as well as in soft tissues, bones, and blood, where it can bind to proteins, mainly transferrin. In its inorganic form, chromium can only be absorbed by the human body at 1%, while absorption in the form of organic compounds is much higher.
OstroVit uses chromium picolinate as the organic form of the compound.
Recommended use
Take 1 serving (1 tablet) daily after a meal.
