Bunching onion Red Toga
The perennial bunching onion is hardy. The bulbs have an attractive purple-red color that gradually transitions into green, tubular leaves. It grows best in sunny locations and in humus-rich, well-drained soil with a neutral pH. It can grow in one place for about 4-5 years. It spreads vigorously and forms clumps. Ideal for scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, salads, and soups. Sow at a depth of 1-2 cm directly into the ground from April to August, in rows with a spacing of 30 cm. When the plant reaches a height of about 5 cm, thinning is necessary, leaving the plants a few centimeters apart.
