Late variety, very good for storage. Frost-resistant, winters well in the ground, with blue-green leaves and a long, snow-white blanched stalk 25 cm long. Sow in a heated cold frame from February to April, or in mid-April directly into the ground for an autumn harvest; in July in a nursery bed for an early spring harvest. Transplants from sowing in the cold frame are planted out in May (for an autumn harvest) or until mid-July (for a spring harvest); from July sowing, in late August to September.
