A perennial plant reaching 30 cm in height. It smells beautiful. It has fringed, semi-double flowers in various colors and grass-like, bluish-green leaves. The plant forms colorful carpets, flowering very profusely and for a long time (VI–VIII). It grows even in dry and slightly shady positions. It forms neat silvery clumps in rock gardens, on slopes, and in flower walls. Sow seeds in April–June. Transplant to a permanent location in late summer at a spacing of 20×25 cm.
