One of the most winter-hardy and undemanding mint varieties, valued for its attractiveness as an ornamental plant with light purple, honey-bearing flowers gathered in loose spikes, and long, aromatic leaves covered with a fine downy layer. Its excellent refreshing taste makes it a great addition to tea, drinks, beverages, ice cream and salads. Sow in April under cover or in May in open ground. Before sowing, the seeds should be placed in the refrigerator for 7 days. Then sow the seeds and maintain a temperature of about 25 °C. Emergence takes 2–3 weeks.
