Hazelnut Oil - Cold Pressed
Hazelnut oil is pressed from carefully selected hazelnuts. It is characterized by a high content of valuable polyunsaturated fatty acids: Omega-3 (linolenic acid), Omega-6 (linoleic acid), Omega-9 (oleic acid), and phytosterols. It is also a rich source of minerals and B vitamins, vitamin A, K, and especially vitamin E, which is a natural antioxidant.
- pressed at a temperature below 40° C
- oil with a delicious nutty flavor
- unrefined, without preservatives and artificial colors
Uses of Hazelnut Oil
Hazelnut oil has a golden color and a characteristic nutty flavor with a hint of caramel. It can be used as an addition to:
- ice cream - tastes great with vanilla or cream ice cream
- raspberries and blueberries, and as an addition to mascarpone cheese desserts
- bread - instead of butter or margarine, delicious for dipping bread
- salads and raw vegetables - as a tasty and healthy dressing or ingredient in other sauces
- cottage cheese and cottage cheese paste
- yogurts, fruit and vegetable smoothies, morning oatmeal, cereals
- drizzling over cooked vegetables and summer dishes: rice, potatoes, fish, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, as an addition to soups
In addition to direct consumption, hazelnut oil can be successfully used for external skin and hair care, as it has moisturizing and lubricating properties. Thanks to its high content of fatty acids, it positively affects the condition of the skin, as it regenerates even severely damaged epidermis. It is a so-called drying oil, meaning it contains more polyunsaturated fatty acids than monounsaturated ones. Therefore, it does not leave greasy stains on the skin, absorbs quickly, and does not clog pores. Hazelnut oil will protect the skin from adverse factors such as frost, wind, and UV rays (protection factor of 3-4).
Dosage: Adults are recommended to use about 1 to 2 tablespoons, and children 1-2 teaspoons. It is best if the oil is taken during a meal with dishes – this way, its health-promoting properties will be best utilized in the body.
It can only be used cold, it should not be heated, as this causes a loss of nutritional value.
