One of the most beautiful trees in the world, forming in natural conditions a spreading, umbrella-shaped crown. During the flowering period, from a distance it looks as if it were standing in flames, thanks to its large orange-red flowers. Before sowing, damage the seed coat, e.g. with sandpaper or make a slight cut so as not to damage the embryo, then soak for 48 h in warm water. Sow to a depth of 0.5–1 cm in the growing medium. Seedlings emerge 4–10 weeks after sowing.
